And the first pig said...

This is a true story, proving how fascinating the mind of a six year old is.

They think so logically.

A teacher was reading the story of the Three Little Pigs to her class. She came to the part of the story

where first pig was trying to gather the building materials for his home. She read 'and so the pig

went up to the man with the wheelbarrow full of straw and said: 'Pardon me sir, but may I

have some of that straw to build my house?'

The teacher paused then asked the class: 'And what do you think the man said?'

One little boy raised his hand and said very matter-of-factly ...'I think the

man would have said - 'Well, I'll be damned!! A talking pig!'

The teacher had to leave the room.

A Trip to the Northwest States in 1994

Grandpa and I took our first and only trip to the northwest states. We went to Utah, Idaho, Washington, Victoria, Canada, Orgeon and California.
We slept in the van most of the time and really enjoyed this trip. We carried our food and ate in parks. The picture below was taken on this trip.
As you can see, Gramp's had to take another Cheerios picture. Yes, we like CHEERIOS (Honey Nut) and you will find a box in our pantry.

MEMORIES

Looking at the Morgan Look Alike ad below reminds me of a time in 1984 when Pappa decided to enter a photo contest that General Mills Cereals Company was having. The picture that won the Cheerios Contest would be put on the Cheerios box for the whole world to see. Of course, Pappa, knew that he had the cutest and best grandkids. So he took pictures of the grandchilden that were available. He knew the Company would have a hard time selecting the winner from the pictures he took. I never did see that winning picture on the Cheerios box. I guess they cancelled the contest. I thought you would like to see those photos since the grandchildren (except Robyn) probably were to young to remember these winning photos.

MEMORIES

Robyn: " Am I sitting pretty, Pappa?"

MEMORIES

Krista: "I'll help you Pappa get the boxes.

Krista: " I think we have enough, Pappa"

Curtiss: "Let us fill my bucket and then go down to the pond and feed the ducks"

Alisha: "Pappa, I am smiling pretty so can I go down the slide now?"

Morgan Look Alike

The little girl on the picture below certainly looks like our Morgan. I wish it was Morgan in this advertisement for Ragu. You will find this ad in the April "Better Homes and Gardens" magazine.

WATCH THAT DOGGIE DOOR!! GUESS WHO CAME HOME FOR DINNER?

Could you imagine…to come home from work and find this tiny creature napping on your couch with your dog?

It followed this beagle home ---- right through the
doggie door ---- in the Bittinger, MD. area recently.

The owner came home to find the visitor had made itself right at home. This hit the 6 o'clock news big time.
