A LATE BLOOMER

This amaryllis flower bulb I received on Thanksgiving Day from my dearest friend, Sandy Wilmot. I planted the bulb and hoped it would grow and bloom
in time for Christmas. It grew but did not bloom until after Christmas. I guess it was a "late bloomer" because it knew I would not be home for Christmas. Two weeks later she was in full bloom in her beautiful array. I love it and will transplant it into my front flower bed. I hope it will grow and greet visitors with the same beautiful blossoms.

I have always appreciated different looking flowers. Roses are pretty but I love unique and colorful flowers. Grandma you are very smart, you are learning this stuff amazingly fast.
