I was sorting photos and found these old cartoons among the pictures. I found them to be funny because I related to them when I was raising my children or babysitting grandchildren.
I like that first cartoon. I always had the oldest one in the car ride in front. It cut down on a lot of fights over the "shotgun seat" Eventually the younger ones would get their turn.
Ya I always got the front seat too growing up. Loved never having to "wait my turn." Maybe that is partly why I still don't like waiting my turn. I want it my way and my way NOW. :)
We always wanted clean hands. Just like sitting at the "big" table for holidays, sitting "shotgun" was the same, by age. There is a downside to that , we all age together. Oh well, it worked for us.

That last cartoon sure reminds me of Gramma Carrie. She would scrub our hands with lots of soap while singing a song. Then we could play in her house.
