Gramps and I went to the Mesa Temple's Visiting Center yesterday to view a new exhibit. The exhibit proclaims the divinity of Jesus Christ using inspiring fine art photographs representing people and events in the life of the Savior taken at sites similar to those in the Holy Land. Accompanying the photos is a moving behind-the-scenes 30-minute documentary and sacred music recorded by local artists. Professional photopher Mark Mabry was called to shoot photographs of Easter pageant actors and actresses in costume and in a way that would communicate emotion. The photos were all taken in Arizona except this one which was taken in Rocky Point, Mexico. Seeking spiritual direction in every decision, Brother Mabry , 30, said he never began shooting a scene without first inviting the Spirit through prayer, scripture study and discussing the principles taught from the event in Christ's life. "We thought that if this affects just one life, then it is worth it." he said. "But we realize that it already has--it has literally changed the lives of every one of us involved".
I found the pictures to be beautiful and the the way they were created very interesting. Those of you that live close enough to the Mesa Temple should go to see this exhibit. It is very impressive.

that sounds nice. we'll have to check that out sometime. Was it a date with dad?
I love the Az temple.
The question "was it a date?" At our age we don't think about a "date" meaning: an appointment for a set time, specifically, a social appointment with a person of the opposite sex. (It sounds sexy). We usually agree on something that we both want to do and we do it. I consider it a "date" when (1st) we really enjoy just being with each other and (2nd)
both are enjoying whatever it is that we are doing together. I would call this one a "date". Dad was it a "date" for you?
Everyone that has a chance to see this, should. Great
Sounds like something I would love. We will have to check it out next time we are in AZ.
I would say, yes it was a date. At our stage in life, with little kids, anything we do without them, without them screaming or without them knowing we have ice cream is a date. Hee Hee.
Wish I could check it out. Sounds like a great "date". We should all take a time out, for a date, with the man or woman we love. Love, Sandy
amazing wish i was there!!!
Never too old for a date.
Will you be my valentine?
Lulu, I thought that you would never ask! Of course, I will always be your valentine. Let's have a date on March 14th since I am having a tooth pulled & other dental work done on Valentine's day. My treat.
ahww, thats sweet - the tooth pulling really adds to the romance, so much to look forward to.
