My Utah Visit...Popping in and out!

I recently returned from Utah where I went to see my grandson off before he leaves for two years to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

It was a whirlwind of a trip, with a lot going on.

The first day I arrived we went to see the musical, South Pacific, with Sheila and Amber.
What a treat and nice way to begin my visit.

I had lunch with a new friend, Mary.  Such a delightful lady.  We have a lot in common.  I liked her very much.

I went to Baylee's double header Lacrosse game, went out to eat with Ted and family, and watched and helped where I could as Sheila dashed around like a crazy lady preparing for those who would come by to wish TJ  a happy farewell, on Sunday.

We even squeezed in a movie. We saw The Avengers. I liked it okay but Sheila didn't like it at all.

TJ gave a wonderful talk on Patience.  How time flies!  My grandchildren have all grown up!  I know he will be a great missionary, serving and teaching in the Portland, Oregon mission.

MY APRIL DAUGHTER WAS BORN APRIL 29, 1959.
I wanted to post 4 photos on my blog of Sandy for her birthday.  But,I updated Picasa where I hold my scanned photos and after updating Picasa it made a change and I cannot figure how to get the photos on my blog now.  Maybe Dennis or Ronna can teach me how they are able to post pictures on their blogs..
HAPPY BIRTHDAY,  SANDY.   ENJOY.  ARE THE GRANDCHILDREN GOING TO BAKE A BIRTHDAY CAKE FOR YOU?

A Special Treat

My grand daughter, Jen Oliver, took me to Phoenix friday to see and hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square. Dan got free tickets from his employer to attend The Signature Event for The Arizona Centennial. The concert was held in the US Airways Arena and our seats were in a Box. Jen and I were with four other couples sitting in the Box. Those tickets were super. When Jen showed the
tickets we were immediately directed to a special free parking area. When we got into the arena and showed the tickets we were directed to the special entrance to the Box. I was impressed to be treated like Obama.
The concert, as always, was wonderful. They had a variety of music. The whole performance was perfect.
Thanks Dan and Jen. Dan did not go with us because he had a date to take Princess Morgan to a Dad and Daughter Dance at her school. I like Dan for being a devoted father and kind grand daughter, Jen, to invite her old granny to a new experience.

Winter Fun

Can you remember this time? Do you know who is sliding on a tube. I'll help you guess who they are.
One in sunglasses has the youngest family baby boy. The one in a jacket with hearts on it is a family singer. News has traveled to me that she has just won a singing contest and the prize is a cruise. Two ladies that I talked to today informed me that the singer won the contest. Good for who?
