HUMANITARIAN DAY

Church members gathered last Saturday to work on local humanitarian projects. We do this every year. What joy it gives us to serve others in this way. I thought maybe family would like to see what we do.
Merrilee, Sister Bottomly and Crissy and I were in charge of seeing that picture, ABC, and Number Books were made. We had a lot of children participate in this project but their parents enjoyed doing it, too.

When the books are assembled they are delivered to places like Headstart and Day Centers for pre school children, La Mesita, Crisis Center and Senior Day Centers.

Those are wonderful programs your helping with. I actually did community service at La Mesita, and have had 2 women friends stay there. This was years ago & I'm glad to tell you, they have been on their own providing for their children to this day.
