I love poems. Simple poems mostly. Poems that express my feelings. I admire those who write poems. Helen Steiner Rice is one of those poets.
You find her poems everywhere and often on greeting cards. Right now I don't seem to have enough time to do everything I want to do. So I am trying to concentrate on only a few things. That means a lot of other things are not getting done. This is one of her poems and I am personalizing it by saying (to myself) My instead of Our and I instead of we etc.
Our days are so crowded and our hours are so few
And there's so little time and so much to do
That the days fly by and are over and done before we have even begun
To do the things that we meant to do
But never have time to carry through--
And how nice it would be if we stopped to say the things we feel
in our hearts each day.

So tonight I am stopping long enough to let you know I think of you much
more than you'd guess. I hope all is going well for you and your families.
I wish you happiness, health and safety as I remember you in my prayers.
I am looking forward to the next time that we can be together again, on the blogs or in person.. Have I told you lately that "I love you"? If not I am telling you now. I LOVE YOU!
Here is another poem that I hang on my refrigerator when I need a reminder. Poet is unknown.
THE DIFFERENCE
I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I didn't have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task,
Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered. He answered, "You didn't ask.
I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn't show me. He said, "But you didn't seek"
I tried to come into God's presence; I used all my keys at the lock,
God gently and lovingly chided. "My child, you didn't knock."
I woke up early this morning, and paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.

I love you mom. Those are nice poems. Easy to read and have good meanings. Have a good week.
those are both very nice. it's important to remember those things and poetry is a wonderful way to express.
one thing i have never doubted and that is your love for me.
love you too.
I love those poems and I remember the second one on your refrig when I was still at home. A BIG HUG and Kiss for you. I LOVE YOU, too!
When it is all said and done none of us will ever doubt how much Grandma loves us. How grateful I am to have a grandma like you who has always been there to support and encourage me and now my children.
Those poems reminded me of this one I had on my wall. Brandi was 18 months old, and Curtiss was just a newborn baby in my arms.
"CLEANING AND SCRUBBING CAN WAIT TILL TOMORROW, FOR BABIES GROW UP, WE'VE LEARNED TO OUR SORROW. SO QUIET DOWN COBWEBS, DUST GO TO SLEEP, I'M ROCKING MY BABY, AND BABIES DON'T KEEP."

Those poems are beautiful, I think I will print them out. You are a wonderful grandma, I love you. And I have always felt loved by you. And I thank you for making me feel so loved my whole life.
